Our Hospital Policies

What to expect when you visit our animal hospital:

COVID-19 Protocol

  • One person will be allowed to accompany their pet into the building for their appointment.

  • Anyone entering the building will be REQUIRED to wear a mask regardless of your vaccination status.

  • We ask that you remain in your vehicle and call when you arrive to check in for your appointment.

  • Once an exam room is available we will escort you and your pet to the room.

** It is imperative that you remember to bring your cell phone with you for your appointment**

Waiting Room Policy

For your protection, and the protection of others, we require all dogs to be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area. All cats should be in an appropriate cat carrier. We do offer a separate waiting area for our cats and other small mammals.

Appointments

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate by appointment only. We do reserve time each day for Emergency cases. Emergency cases will receive top priority so you may experience the occasional delay. Please know that we work diligently to stay on schedule and to see each patient on time. To ensure we stay on task we ask that you notify our office of any changes to your pet’s condition prior to their appointment. For example, if your pet is coming in for a yearly exam and vaccines but seems to have developed an ear infection that you would like checked we ask that you call ahead to let us know so we can accommodate the additional time needed for your appointment.

** Please note if you are scheduled for a tech appointment (ie. Booster vaccines, nail trim, etc) you will not be speaking to Dr. Manning during these visits so it is EXTREMELY important you let us know of any concerns that would require Dr. Manning’s attention prior to your tech appointment.  Failure to do so may result in your needing to schedule another appointment to have your concerns addressed.**

Telephone

Dr. Manning is dedicated to providing one on one care to each patient during their appointment and to do so she is generally unable to accept telephone calls during appointment hours. Our staff members are trained to answer your questions and/or to relay important information to Dr. Manning. We try to return calls as soon as possible but please note it may take 24 hours to receive a response.

Email

Please know that our email system is not regularly checked. Please do not email questions or concerns to the email address unless you are instructed to do so.

Prescription Requests from Online Pharmacies

At this time Dr. Manning will not authorize prescriptions filled through online or discount pharmacies. We are unable to verify the authenticity of their medications or guarantee the efficacy of these products. For your convenience we have a verified online pharmacy that you may order your medication, food, and other products through. For prescription diets we also work with Hills to Home program. Written prescriptions for some medications will be given to clients upon request.

Payment

We believe our fees reflect the level of quality care your pet receives at our hospital. Dr. Manning strives to provide treatment plans that work for both you and your pet. Payment in full is required at the time of service. Estimates can be provided during your visit upon request. We accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and CareCredit.
